The Duggan Cup Team had a fantastic win over Newlands Golf Club in Edenderry on Sunday 4th September Team: Doanl Keane & Oliver Anderson, Michael Anderson & Pat Fennelly, Tom Molumby & Con Delaney, Larry Ryder & Peter Scully, Michael McDonald & Shay Burke. Also on the panel: Liam Corby & Eddie Thornton, John O'Halloran & Josie Carroll, Brian Gee & Billy Moore.

Abbeyleix Ladies win Midland Shield September 2004.

Congratulations is extended to both Managers Martin Mahony & Colin Murphy and the entire panel for winning this trophy for the second time for the Club.

John Alley's Presidents Prize has bee Changed to 26th, 27th and 2th August 2005 due to the Duggan Cup getting to the final .

Inter Club Competitions: The Duggan Cup Team had an excellent win over Rathdowney on Thursday 16th June. The Cullen Cup Team are through to the Quater Finals and are playing Woodbrook GC in Abbeyleix on Sat. 25th June.

News 12th June 2005:The Barton Cup Team were defeated 3/2 by the European Club. The Cullen Cup had a great win over Highfield.

The Social Committee of the Club are Organising a Barbeque on Saturday 18th June at 9.00 p.m. Admission €10. Misic by Martin Lacey, open to members and friends.

The Club had a number of teams playing during the week. The J.B. Carr, Provincial Towns, and Junior Cup failed to progress any further. The Duggan Cup had a successful win over New Ross. Home: Mick McDonnell aand Shay Burke, Con Delaney and Josie Carroll, Michael Anderson and James G Carroll. Away: Larry Ryder and Peter Scully, Billy Moore and John O'Halloran.

The following will represent Abbeyleix Golf Club at the Heritage Golf Club on Saturday 11th June, 2005 in the Heritage Shield. Michael Brereton & Seamus Drennan, Brian O'Neill and Paul Cranny.

Interclub Competition: Barton Cup Team had a great win over Castlecomer on Thursday 19th May. Team: Away: Malachy Fogarty & John Burnell, Tom Molumby & Jim Ring. Home: Gearoid Purcell & John Heffernan, Larry Ryder & Fr Sean Conlon, Tom Reilly and Patrick Fennelly.

Pierce Purcell Team failed to qualify for the final rounds on Sunday 22nd May. The O'Moore Cup were beaten by Mountrath on Wednesday 18th May.
